URLs & QR Codes

Module: Links & QR Codes — Free, Plus and Prime.
A tracked URL is a short link of your own, with a QR Code, that records every visit and points wherever you want.
The promise of the feature is one sentence: the link never changes, the destination does. Print the QR Code once, on a menu, a window, a flyer or a package, and change what it points to whenever you need — without reprinting anything.
Your plan caps how many tracked URLs you may own.
Creating a link
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Link name | Only you see it |
| Link address | The slug. This is what ends up in the printed QR Code, so choose it carefully. Lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, at least 3 characters. Reserved and already-taken addresses are refused |
Addresses are globally unique across the platform — there is no per-organization namespace on the link host.
Where the link goes
| Type | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| URL with UTMs | Any address, with optional campaign parameters appended |
| Opens the chat with your number and an optional first message already typed | |
| Team calendar (distribution) | Shares visitors out between several calendars — see below. Offered while the Scheduling module is active |
A preview panel shows exactly how the link will behave before you save it.
Capturing a lead before the redirect
A link can carry a form. Whoever opens it fills the form in and is only then taken to the destination, and the contact lands in your CRM already attributed to this link — so a QR Code on a table becomes a measurable lead source.
Your own Google tags
Independently of FlyB’s own analytics, a link can carry your Google Analytics measurement ID and your Google Tag Manager container. Both formats are validated.
They fire at different moments, and the moment is the point:
| Situation | Google Analytics | Google Tag Manager |
|---|---|---|
| No form | On opening the link | On opening the link — the visit is the event |
| With a form | On opening the link | After the form is submitted, carrying a generate_lead event — because the submit is the conversion, not the visit |
Because the page redirects away in a fraction of a second, FlyB holds the hop for an instant so the tag has time to register. Visits are always recorded in FlyB’s own analytics whatever you put here.
Pausing a link
Turning Link active off stops redirecting and shows a message you write instead — “We are closed until Monday, scan again from 9am.” Visits are still recorded. Write the message in your audience’s language; it is shown exactly as typed.
This is what you use for a temporary stop. Deleting a link stops it working immediately, including on QR Codes already printed, and deletes its visit history.
Sharing
The share dialog gives you the link and the QR Code, both of which stay valid after you change the destination. The QR Code is always built over the short link, which is why it survives every edit.
Team distribution links
A distribution link holds a pool of booking calendars instead of an address, and picks one per visitor by round-robin, soonest availability, fewest bookings or a random draw. Full detail in Calendars → Team distribution links.
Booking links are handed out on a second host, but both hosts answer for both kinds of link — mistyping one is never a dead link.
Analytics
Tracked URLs are a dimension in the Analytics explorer like any other surface, and the list shows visits over the last 30 days and all time.
They are also a section of the daily summary, which e-mails the account owner and admins the five most visited links of the last full day and how each one compares with the day before.
