Active Search (Leads)

Sidebar: CRM → Active Search

Module: CRM — active on every account from the start.

Active Search is outbound prospecting. You describe the kind of business and the area (“Italian restaurant in New York”) and FlyB queries the Google Places API and brings back what Google knows about them.

Type the business type and the location in one line, then Search. Each search costs Flights, and the cost and the maximum number of results are shown on screen before you run it.

  • The Free plan includes a single trial search.
  • On paid plans each search returns more results for the same cost.
  • Google itself caps how many results a query can return. To find different businesses, change the description rather than repeating the same search.

If a search fails, no Flights are charged.

Reading the results

The result table shows name, phone, website, address and Google rating, and can be sorted by any column. More details opens what Google published about the business:

  • Contact details, with a one-click Open on WhatsApp for the phone number
  • Opening hours and whether it is open right now
  • Price level, dine-in and delivery flags
  • Google’s editorial summary and its AI-generated review summary (labelled as such — it is Google’s text, not FlyB’s)
  • A link to the listing on Google Maps

Adding a lead to your base

Add to contacts creates the contact from the Google data. In the same dialog you can optionally choose a funnel and stage, so the CRM card is created at the same moment.

If the business already exists in your base — matched by phone or e-mail — the record is updated rather than duplicated, and the screen tells you so.

Contacts created this way carry their Google Place identifier, which is what lets the list show Added next to a business you have already taken.

Building a page for a lead

Create a page for this business hands the Google data and your search terms to the AI page builder, which drafts a landing page for that business. It is a fast way to open a conversation with something concrete to show.

Before you prospect

Active Search returns business listings published on Google. That does not by itself give you a lawful basis to market to them, and it does not exempt you from the anti-spam rules that apply to everything sent through FlyB. Contacting a business you found here is your decision and your responsibility — see the Acceptable Use Policy.

Data returned by Google Places remains subject to Google’s own terms. FlyB passes it to you as received and does not verify its accuracy.
