Forms
Sidebar: Capture → Forms
Shown while any module that captures leads with forms is active — Landing Pages, Blogs, CRM, Inbox or Links & QR Codes. Forms are not a module of their own.
A form turns a visitor into a contact. Forms can be dropped into a FlyB landing page, embedded in any external website, or attached to a tracked URL or a floating button as a lead gate — or be the one-time identification step of a FlyB Chat.
Creating a form
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Internal name | Required. Only you see it |
| Form title and description | Shown above the fields |
| Button text (CTA) | Required |
| Embed style | Light or dark |
| Show “Powered by FlyB” badge | The line under the form’s own page. On by default; removable on Plus and Prime |
Standard fields
Each standard contact field — name, e-mail, phone, company, and the address fields — is set to one of three modes:
| Mode | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Hidden | Not asked |
| Optional | Asked, can be left blank |
| Mandatory | Asked, must be filled |
A form must keep at least one visible field.
Custom fields
Add your own questions. Each has a label, a placeholder, and a type:
- Text — free text
- Option list — a dropdown, with at least one option
Answers are stored on the contact’s custom fields and can then be used in filters, CRM conditions and e-mail variables.
After submission
By default the visitor sees a success message — you set both its title and its body.
Two optional behaviours change that:
| Setting | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Redirect after submit → calendar | Forwards the contact to a booking page |
| Redirect URL | Opens a new tab at this address right after the registration is confirmed |
If both are set, the calendar wins.
CRM integration
A form can name the funnel and stage its submissions land in, so a new lead appears on the board the moment it signs up. Without it, the contact is created in the base but not placed in any funnel.
Lead owner
A form can also name the lead owner of the contacts it creates, so leads from a particular campaign land on a particular person without anybody sorting them by hand.
It applies only to contacts the form creates. A submission that merges into a contact that already exists keeps the owner it had.
Publishing a form
When you save a new form, FlyB offers two ways to use it:
- Add it to a FlyB page — pick one of your landing pages and the form section is created for you.
- Embed it elsewhere — copy the embed code and paste it into any website.
Existing forms can be embedded at any time from Deploy → Copy embed code.
A form also has a page of its own, which is what a tracked URL or a shared link opens. Its browser tab and the preview a chat app shows for the link carry the form title — your company’s name when the form has none, never the internal name. That page carries a discreet “Powered by FlyB” line under the form: always on the Check-in (Free) plan, and until you switch off Show “Powered by FlyB” badge on Plus and Prime. A form inside a landing page never shows it — the page around it carries its own. See Plans, Flights & Limits.
What happens to a submission
- A contact is created — or merged into an existing one matching the phone or e-mail.
- The visit that produced it is attributed to the contact, so its country, city, browser, page path and UTM parameters are recorded.
- Any CRM rule attached to the form places it in a funnel stage.
- Entry events and stage automations fire from there.
Plan limits and consent
Contacts created by a form count against your plan’s contact limit. Once the limit is reached, new contacts stop being saved.
